Lego League by Jemimah Olowu, 6th Class.
Lego league was a wonderful experience, I really enjoyed it, especially since some of my friends we there too. My favourite was the coding because it was fun and interesting for me. It was hosted in the amazon headquarters in Donnybrook, Dublin. Our group name was pickle brick (WHICH I DID NOT AGREE ON BY THE WAY) and our robot name was pickletron 3000 (WHICH MOST OF US AGREED WITH), anyway, I think it was very fun. While we waited for our turn, we played with games that were there. we played ping pong and foosball. Later on, we got boxes with lunch and water, but most people brought their own lunch, including me. But Ms Jenkins had some snacks :0 and there was a bunch of people from different schools they even danced it was very friendly.
We got to meet so many important people. They were so nice. It was very hard but we did it. I would defo do it again. When we got to Amazon we only got to code two robot codes but with the help of Vince from Creative Hut Ireland, we were able to code a few more before I had a little panic attack but Vince helped us so I calmed down.
Even though we didn’t win, we didn’t cry or moan because in our hearts we won something way more than wining; fun! We learned so many skills so we think overall it was a very positive experience.
