Sixth Class School Tour to Tayto Park

My Trip to Tayto Park

Yesterday, 14th of June all of sixth class went to Tayto Park. We went on this trip because it’s our end of year trip.

I woke up at 7:39 and got out of bed, got dressed, had breakfast and went off to school. I got to the school and all of us went into our classrooms. We grabbed our lunches, made sure everyone was there and got ready.

After that, we got on the bus at 9.00 a.m. and left the school at 9.10 a.m. for Tayto Park. The bus trip was pretty fun for me and all of my mates were having a nice chat and looking at the view. The bus was flying and it only took us 35 minutes to get there.

Following that we got off the bus at around 10.00 a.m. and went straight into Tayto Park. The first thing we did was drop all of our jackets and bags off  at a few benches and went off to have fun. Firstly, I went on the Air Race, the queue was massive and we waited there so long but finally Jamie and I got on. It was such fun, we went so fast, sideways and even upside down. It was fun but Jamie and I went on the biggest ride too, the Cú Chulainn Roller Coaster. The roller coaster was massive, and the queue was about an hour. It felt longer, but finally we got on and Jamie and I got in our seats. It started to move, and it went up and up and then the big drop. It went so fast out of nowhere that it scared me. Once it was finished, we went on our Zoo tour. Our tour guy’s name was Curt and we saw a special type of monkey from Indonesia. After that we saw a few birds, then alpacas, then we saw a peacock, then  a few more birds and a bird from Japan. Following the zoo tour we went back on a few more rides. Jamie and I went to the Flight School ride and then sat down for a while to relax. When we got up, it was 2.30 p.m. and we had to leave. We were meant to leave at 1.50 p.m. but people got stuck in queues, so we left late. Anyway, we got back on the bus, and then left for home.

I personally enjoyed it, but the queues were too long and we didn’t stay long enough time, so I rate it 8.5/10.

Tayto Park

On the 14th June 2022 our sixth class took a lovely visit to Tayto Park, County Meath. We all met up at the school at 8.50 a.m. and waited for everybody. We then left the school at 9.00 a.m. and got on a double decker bus. The bus ride to our destination was lovely and everybody was incredibly excited.

We reached our destination at 10.00 a.m., we all got off the bus and thanked the kind bus driver. Many other schools from all over Ireland were there too! When we entered Tayto Park, we placed our bags on a picnic bench and everybody ran straight to the Cú Chulainn. Everybody got on many great rides and walked around the beautiful place.

At 12.00 p.m. we got a tour of the zoo and our lovely tour guide’s name was Kaz. She showed us many of the interesting creatures, it was a lovely, peaceful place. After the tour, we sat down and enjoyed our lunch. Everybody got back on the rides again after lunch. The 5D cinema opened later on throughout the day and many people went in and had a great day. Some of the teachers got on the rides and enjoyed them.

At 2.00 p.m. we started making our way back from Tayto Park, we were a little late coming home because the queue for the Cú Chulainn took a while. Overall, it was a great little experience. I would recommend this for a day out!

…. There was a few schools and long queues, but overall it was a very good school trip. It was my favourite. I hope when I get into secondary school in first year I have many more good tours like this one ….

Leah

…. By 12.00 everyone met close to the Cú Chulainn and we go to the Zoo. There was a lot of animals, lions, eagles, alpaca, bison, snow owls, monkeys and birds ……….

Marvis

… The Cú Chulainn was very good in my opinion. I sat beside Leah. As soon as the ride started I was excited, you go up really high and then you zoom down a big hill into a tunnel and around the queue. It was so fun! ……
