Video Conference

We had a Skype Conference with a Fourth Class in Olaus Petriskolan, Örebro, Sweden on Wednesday 19 December 2007. We talked to the children and their teachers. We sang three Christmas songs for them, Silent Night, This is the Moment and A Íosa. The Swedish children sang some Christmas songs in Swedish for us. One of the songs was Silent Night in Swedish. Two of the Swedish songs were about candles.

We learned that it was colder in Sweden than in Ireland. It was cold here in Dublin, only 5 degrees but it was – 5 degrees in Örebro. Lots of the children in Örebro liked football. They learn Swedish and English in school.

Mr. O’Leary spoke to the Swedish children and teachers. We wished them all a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year.
