Spellbound!
Every week we get a list of words to learn to spell from our Spellbound Spelling Book. At the end of the week we go outside to the Shared area and work together on a Spellbound activity on the Interactive Whiteboard. There are three activities on the whiteboard for every spelling list. In this video clip we are learning to spell words that end with the letters “ight”. First of all we read through all of our new words. Then we work together to put all of the words in alphabetical order. Then we completed a ‘Fill in the Blanks’ exercise. The final activity is our favourite, it’s a Wordsearch !When we have finished the activities we sit down at our tables and work on the activity pages in our Spellbound Book. We love using the whiteboard to learn our spellings. We like working together and when you finish an activity the words ‘Well Done’ or ‘Good Job’ come up on the screen. We all get a turn to go up and use the whiteboard. It helps make spelling more fun!
