Our 6th Class 1916 Rising Project

All the 6th class children in our school got together to do a project on 1916. Our group of 17 pupils decided we would do a PowerPoint on the main  men and women who took part in the Easter Rising . We displayed all our work in the hall and presented our PowerPoint to the 4th and 5th classes and also to the parents. After we converted our presentation to a video and uploaded it here. We in Ms Nestor’s class have been working very hard over the last while learning about The Normans. We spent lots of time in our groups researching about the different aspects of life during Norman times in Ireland and compiled our information into a video using Powerpoint. Parents’ Powerpoint Presentation

  Over the past number of weeks a group of parents, along with the HSCL coordinator have been working together to produce a PowerPoint presentation based on our school. The main purpose of the presentation was to incorporate all the different aspects of our school. The parents met on Wednesday mornings over a 4 week period . During these sessions the parents decided on what should be included in the presentation, for example the pictures and content to be used. European Project 2012 – 14

You are probably aware that the school has become involved in an international education project. This is a two year project that involves pupils and teachers from five different schools communicating and learning together on a variety of topics. The other four schools in the project are from Pisa in Italy, Kolding in Denmark, Oulu in Finland and St. Mark’s SNS, just up the road in Springfield.
