Sixth Class Trip to Tallaght Village

Last week the pupils in Ms. Stack’s sixth class took Difi with them when they visited two of Tallaght’s oldest churches. First, they visited St. Maelruan’s Church and Cemetery. St. Maelruan founded his monastery in Tallaght in the 8th century. The tower of St. Maelruan’s Church dates back to the 15th or 16th century and the present church was built beside it in 1829. Our 6th Class 1916 Rising Project

Our 6th Class 1916 Rising Project

All the 6th class children in our school got together to do a project on 1916. Our group of 17 pupils decided we would do a PowerPoint on the main  men and women who took part in the Easter Rising . We displayed all our work in the hall and presented our PowerPoint to the 4th and 5th classes and also to the parents. After we converted our presentation to a video and uploaded it here.
