Fourth Class has Maths Eyes!

Our Maths Eyes Trip On Wednesday 5th of April we went to Sean Walsh Park to do a ‘Maths Eyes’ trail. We worked in pairs. We were given a clipboard, worksheet and a pencil. The worksheet had lots of Maths questions on it. We had to use our ‘Maths Eyes’ to solve the maths problems. It was good fun, some of the questions were easy but some were hard too. Afterwards we got to play in the playground and when we were finished we went to McDonalds. I had a giant chocolate muffin, it was delicious! Christmas Hats

On Friday the 16th of December all of Third Class made Christmas hats with our family. Lots of mams, dads and sisters came to help us out.   There was elf hats and Santa hats. There was lots of decorations and glitter. There was reindeer, fir trees and snowmen to decorate. We got lots of glitter on us. Christmas Hats

On Tuesday the 9th of December we had a very busy day in 3rd class. Over 30 parents came in to help out with our literacy/Art lesson. The children all read a poem based on Santa’s hat, we then as a whole year group looked at different acrostic poems. Each child as part of their homework were given a worksheet to make up their own acrostic poems at home. After our short literacy lesson we then moved on to the real fun part of the day. Christmas Hats 3rd Class

On Thursday 11th December over 30 parents came into school to help out with our Christmas 3rd class literacy /art activity. The children with their parents read some acrostic poems based around the theme of Christmas. After this the real fun started, the children decorated their own Christmas hats with great assistance from the very creative parents. There was glue, tinsel, glitter and Christmas bows everywhere.
