Winter's Journey
As the wind crept up the yard,
freezing the grass behind him,
icy winds blowing in our faces.
As we line up to go back to class,
chasing behind, freezing the puddles.
Moving on when I went to bed,
creeping up my bed he goes,
nipping at my toes.
Moving on again through the park he goes
freezing the grass, making it crunchy,
sending the birds to different countries.
I don't really like the winter,
it is really cold,
BUT I can tell you I LOVE the SNOW.

Birds in the Beard
There was once a man with a beard .
Who said this is just as I feared.
Two jays and a hen,
Four robins and a wren,
Have all nested right in my beard!
He needed to get rid of this mess,
He thought he’d just break all the nests.
But one bit his thumb,
And brought back a plumb,
And he never made friends with the pests.
Finally the day came,
When the birds said “ This beard is lame”.
They flew off and away,
The man was happy that day,
And he invited his friends over to play.

We have lots of teachers in our school
Some are boring and some are cool
Some are small and some are tall
But Ms Mc Carthy loves to play football
If we do not have all our homework done
We get an automatic sanction one
Every Friday we have a spellbound test
But Ms Verschoyle’s English class has to be the best!
Ms Maye is really fun
On Friday in art we get lots done
She can scream shout
But watch she might kick you out
We have lots of teachers in our school
Some are boring some are cool

But I just seem to like them all.
