Native American Games

The Native Americans had a few games back then. There was one game called Snowsnake. Snowsnake was a game played by the tribes of the Great Lakes. A Snowsnake was a smooth stick from maple wood. One of the sides was carved to look like a snake’s head. To play this game the Native Americans would have to pack down the snow on a long level strip of ground. Each of the players would have to slide the stick along the ground taking turns .The person who slid the stick the furthest was the winner.

There was a sport called Lacrosse it used to be played by Native Americans each team would have 60 players on each team it also was played with Chickasaws, Cherokee and Creek tribes. To play this game two logs would be held by two players from each side. They would have to catch the ball and shoot for the goal. This game is still going on nowadays in America.
