Our Trip to Russborough House

Our Trip to Russborough House

We went to Russborough House on Wednesday 22nd of March. We arrived at Avon Ri and started walking for 1 hour and 30 minutes. It was a 5km greenway, which Mr. Cassidy told us about. We took pictures in the forest. It felt like a horror movie in the forest. Although it was wet and windy, we still enjoyed it. Ms Canavan, Ms .Maye, Ms. Murphy and Mr. Mac Liam enjoyed it too .We had to cross bridges and...

Ms Canavan’s 5th class decided to do the gruffalo play in their Gaeilge lesson. Each pupil got a part in the An Garbhán play. Each pupil decided to group up and pick a part of the play they wanted to do. There was the choices of doing sionnach which is the fox, Ulchabhán which is the owl and there was the nathair which is when the mouse meets the snake. Here are a few Irish words we have learned while doing this play.”Garbhán? Saghas éigin amadáin, an ea?” “Amadán? An Garbhán? Ní hea, ní hea!” “ Tá dhá shúil bhuí ann, teanga dhubh ghránna agus...

I Am The Number One

On Wednesday the 21st of December all of the school gathered in the hall to watch the Fifth Class play and the raffle. Every year we do a raffle but this year was different because the Fifth Class play was before it. The play was called “I AM THE NUMBER ONE”. There was also dancers this year. They were amazing. Lots of students won in the raffle including teachers. The children were very nervous before, because the whole school was watching. We started the play by singing Bí Ann Bí Liom. In the middle of the play we sang Little Donkey. Next the tin whistle and the...
