Inkheart

February 26th, 2010

The book I reviewed was called Ink heart. It is written by Cornella Funke  It is really interesting and cool.

It is about this man whose name is Mo. This story begins when he reads a story to his daughter Meggy and his wife Resa. But Meggy was too young to understand. “Why don’t you read to me” said Resa. So Mo read to them. He read Little Red Riding Hood as he was reading it from out of nowhere this red cloak came and it was on the washing line! They realised that Mo was a silver tongue.

A sliver tongue is a person when he reads out a sentence it comes out of the book and someone goes in. But in this book he reads out a story and dust and bad people. And his wife went into the book. But dust saved him from the bad people. My favourite part in this book was when the bad person wants him to read out the shadow. Then he finds out that Meggy his daughter is a sliver tongue too so he kidnaps Meggy and forces her to read out the shadow she reads it  out. Mo who  comes to rescue meggy throws a pen over to Meggy and she starts writing on her arm and all the bad people and the characters who are forced out of the book are able to go back in.

This is a great read and I thoroughly recommend it.

Match Annual

November 17th, 2009

My favourite book is Match Annual, the reason why I picked this book is because  it’s  jam packed with footy gossip and it has a lot of information about my favourite players including Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Messi, Kaka and many more.  The  author’s name is Matchy.  Throughout  the  years  of  annuals  there were stories told  about him like this one where he went to find the world’s greatest team.
There’s new players and there’s old and they are saying who is the new new, for example, Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez.  The main characters in the book are  Cristiano  Ronaldo,J ohn Terry, Rudd Van Nistelrooy, Stephen Gerard, Didier Drogba, Thierry Henry, Cesc  Fabregas, Kaka, Rooney and Juno.
I am now writing about the wicked story of Kaka.  Kaka was born in Brazil.  He played for Real Madrid and now he plays for AC Milan and Brazil.  He scored 22 goals in his first season for Brazil in 2007.  He won the champions league,  that was the best for him.

I would give this book ten out of ten.

Match Annual

My favourite book is Match Annual. The author’s name is Matchy. The main characters in the book are Lionel Messi, Kaka, Patrick Viera, Torres and Matchy.
I really like this book because it’s full of my favourite thing – football. This is a great book for football fans because it tells you so much about footballers’ careers and has lots of  quizes. It tells you where footballers were born, the date of their birth and what age they are. This book tells you about Diego Maradona. If you don`t know who he is, he was one of
the world’s best players. He was born in Argentina and he played for Boca Juniors. One of the Match Annuals has a whole section about Pele the world’s best player and a section about the Busby Babes, they were with Manchester United about one hundred years ago.
Match annuals have been going on for about thirty years. The quizes in Match Annuals are about La Liga, Euro 08 – 09, Premier League and the Champions League. Some pages show famous footballers’ boots. I was reading a page about top tips, it tells you about football and players. It shows the top ten back flips and front flips.

I`d give it a 10/10
