My Dog Charlie

Charlie lives at my Nanny’s house,
He is very quiet, just like a mouse.
Everyday he sheds his hair,
Sometimes on his favourite chair.
He always plays with his favourite toy,
Which me and my daddy have to buy.
He runs, he skips and wriggles his hips.
And dives and glides, and slides quickly,
And everyday he is with me.

Shannon Said
Shannon said ‘Do you know what’s pink?’
her old little teddy bear.
Shannon said ‘Do you know what’s black?’
her old big chair.
Shannon said ‘Do you know what’s red?’
sunburn, peppers and Liverpool.
Shannon said ‘Do you know what’s slow?’
me when I am ag súil.
Shannon said ‘Do you know what’s fun?’
me when I am in school.
Shannon said ‘Do you know what’s cool?’
me when I am playing pool.
Shannon said ‘Do you know what’s hot?’
me when I am playing in the sun.
Shannon said ‘Do you know what’s funny?’
Me when I am baking my favourite buns.

Autumn

Autumn is here the leaves are everywhere.
The colours are changing from green to red.
It’s so cold I wish I was still in bed.
All the birds are flying away for their autumn holiday.
The leaves are falling from the trees.
And the bones are shivering in my knees.
All the animals are asleep in their nests.
While I’m in school doing lots of tests.
Autumn is a lovely season.
Even though my hands are freezing.

My Imaginary Dog

Once upon a time there was a dog called Duke
And he likes to read a book.
He is very, very healthy
And his friend Cat is very wealthy.
He is very fast
But he always comes last.
He is very big
And if he gets annoyed he gives dogs a dig.
He is cute
And if you hit him he will give a shoot.
He is very good
And he does what he should.
He is very soft
And he sleeps up in the loft.
He is very nice
And he likes to eat rice.
He is very clever
And his best friends name is Trevor.
He is long
And he sings a great song.
He is golden and white
And he has great eyesight.
That’s my imaginary dog.

People

People, people all around,
in the sky and on the ground.
Everyday I like to meet,
different people on the street.
Short and tall, big and thin,
hair on heads and beards on chins.
These are the people that I see,
me, my friends and family.

Winter
Winter is here
It is getting very cold.
I feel so sorry
For people that are old.
Wrap up nice and warm
In huge woolly hats.
You must really careful
Of the dangerously icy paths.
Lots of white snow
All around.
Lots and lots of snowmen
To be found.
It’s time to put the Christmas tree up
Lots of sweet hot chocolate in a HUGE cup.

Alien in My Bedroom

There was an alien in my bedroom, I saw one, I did!
It had three yellow eyes and tentacles like a squid.
I ran into my mum and dad “There’s an alien in my room!”
“It’s just a dream, go back to bed, It will be morning soon”
I tiptoed back into my room, “It’s gone!” I said.
I pulled back the covers and…it was sleeping in my bed!

Ice-cream
Ice-cream
Oh ice-cream,
You are so cold.
Ice-cream
Oh ice-cream,
You slide down my throat.
Ice-cream
Oh ice-cream,
You melt in my mouth.
You come in a cone,
Ice-cream
Oh ice-cream,
Also a bowl!
I eat you for dessert every night,
Ice-cream
Oh ice-cream,
You are so nice!

My Dog Jeff

My dog Jeff, he’s really loud.
Yells and barks so, so loud.
Doggy talk is so confusing.
Oh though when he does his tricks,
Golly it’s amusing.
Jeff and his friends go out to play.
Energetic jogs today.
Frightening night comes out again.
Forever lasting friendship begin!

Vegetables
Beans, carrots, peas yuck
Brussel sprouts are the worst
Did you ever hear of curlycale?
Cabbage is just a pile of leaves.
Yellow, red and green peppers, come on!
What’s up with that?
Onions are nice but scallions are horrible.
I also like beetroot.
I only like two but that’s alright.
How about you, what ones do you like?

Sweets
Sweets, sweets,
I love you so much.
You taste so nice,
But I like chocolate much more.
Oh sweets, oh sweets I love you the best.
You make me rest all day,
Sweets, sweets!
