Digital Schools Award Launch

On February 10th 2006, a new national initiative, the NCTE Digital Schools Award scheme, was formally launched by the Minister for Education and Science Mary Hanafin TD in the school. She was welcomed by the members of the Student Council, and she was delighted to see democracy in action at such an early stage. In her speech she praised the school as being one of Ireland’s best for the way in which technology is integrated in the life of the school. After the launch the Minister visited all the classrooms and spent time meeting the pupils, staff and parents.
