30th Birthday Celebration & Digital School Award
On Tuesday May 29th, the school celebrated its 30th birthday. Bishop Eamonn Walsh celebrated Mass in the church, it was lovely to see so many pupils, former pupils, parents, former parents, staff and former staff come together for the ceremony. A special guest was Mr. Michael Francis, the first principal of the school. After the Mass, the Mayor of South Dublin County Council, Mr. Eamonn Maloney, officially unveiled a beautiful new sculpture in the school garden, with the help of the student council.

The final event of the school’s 30 Years celebration was the presentation of the Digital School Award. The special plaque was presented to Mr. O’Leary by the Director of Dublin West Education Centre, Mr Gerard McHugh, who paid tribute to the brilliant work going on in the school in the area of technology. We are the first school in Tallaght, and one of the first in Ireland, to be presented with this award, and everybody connected with the school should be proud of this fact.
