Green Flag Award
In May 2006 our school received its first Green Flag for environmental excellence. The Green Flag is an international  award for schools around the world who are seen to be working to help save our environment.
The children in our school have made tremendous efforts to recycle, compost and reduce the amount of waste from our school. We have three different bins in each class for the different types of rubbish. One for fruit cores, one for cartons and one for paper. Our Green Committee collect these everyday without fail. We have monitored our progress over time and this has led to our success in obtaining the green flag.
Over the next two years we will be looking at Energy Conservation, Water Preservation and doing our bit to save on gas, electricity and water as every little counts.
We will be having a flag raising ceremony next September. We hope to have the Lord Mayor raise the flag, which will signify the efforts we have made to help improve the environment.
